What is your name?

My name is Bartlomiej Marchlinski (@btek.dama) and I normally go by Bartek but many people also call me Bt or Btek.

Where is home?

Home is usually where my bed is at, that could be in the heart of the Scottish highlands or in beloved Glasgow!

How/when did kendama/SK become part of your life and who was involved?

I came about the SK squad shortly after moving to Glasgow – through George, an old member of the SK team. He was skating for a company in Glasgow at the time which happened to be the same company I started taking photos for when I first moved down. We became friends over a few shoots and one day when we were hanging out, he took me to a PMK jam. During this particular jam, SK were promoting their new Spring T-shirt and I took some photos of it. From there the rest is history. I was welcomed with open arms by the whole squad and I can truly say I’ve not met more loving and supportive people in my life!

Describe your play style in three words.

Down spikes baby

Preferred string length/wood type/shape etc.

Ash on ash with like 10 fingers string on Raptor or Revo.

What is your most cherished kendama memory?

Murs getting announced pro and qualifying for top 16 at EKC 2024.

What else are you passionate about?

Photography and art are my major ones – been doing photography for about 6 years and art ever since I can remember.

What music do you listen to?

Bit of everything but if I had to narrow it down it would be rap/ hip hop.

Fun fact about yourself?

Last sport before I picked up dama was rugby.
